Portraits comprise a lot of my work. Most of the time I'll do a portrait as a commission and it will appear here.  Other times I'll work on a portrait for a personal project if it's part of a particular series or I'm building up my portrait portfolio. Another one of my favorite subjects  - old Hollywood. It wasn't just the films themselves that hooked me, I've always been fascinated by the behind-the-scenes situations surrounding the filming. In a way it's like lifting a veil and getting a better look at the person behind persona.

My Silver Screen series is both a study and a celebration of some of my favorite 20th Century films and icons.

This collection goes beyond the portrait and explores the figure both clothed and unclothed. The nature of the work may be sensual or sexual - but never pornographic. Sometimes portrait commissions will fit into this category if the body plays an important role in the piece.

This general theme gives me an opportunity to place work that is beyond the scope of people and objects. Here you'll find florals, landscapes, wildlife among other things living or of the Earth.

I love my quiet time at home. It gives  me an opportunity to really slow down and reflect on things - whether it's to enjoy some fresh flowers or watch pots cooking on the stove. My intention is to bring into focus these transitory moments and give them a sense of timeless endurance. It allows me to appreciate the richness of my life.
